Razi (DoC U) is mine, Reina (DoC Twin-B girl) is Aya's, and the Grumpy Teddy Bear is .. grumpy ... yeah lol

Starting from tonight, I will be at Anime Expo 2009 until Sunday night. ^__^

Razi will come with me, I hope to run into other doll people!

Razi also has a new headdress and belt decoration set that he will be sporting at the convention, that's what I have been working on these days. I will post photos of it properly after I come back from AX this weekend x3

Seythro is home, eyes are still wrong color but meh, and he still doesn't have any shoes either.

I find it very interesting that new dolls always look more blank and confused than older dolls that have been around for a while. The older dolls, it's easier to see that there is someone 'home'.

On another hand,

SD are heavy as ROCKS ..... X__x ... just as solid too. Holding him for like 3 min is painful.

I r weaksauce.

He's never going anywhere. lol

After valiantly trying to put off the flu/cold for a week, it finally came roaring back to eat me.

I now have a sore throat/fever/coughing/runny nose/headache/fatigue combination of a mean sickness so all creative outlets have been nicely plugged up as I wallow in misery.

But at least I am home now and can wallow comfortably.

It's finals weeks etc, so I'm a big black hole of despair.

Fun.

Oh, and yes I did get your card, but you can still tar and feather the post people for fun if you like.

Still on essay freaking out. *sighs* It never ends.

On commissions news, I have reduced my commission slots from 5 to 3 temporarily. This is because the client that commissioned me last night has requested a 10 item commission x___x. So yeah, that would take up a healthy chunk of my time.

On another hand, I have decided on a SD13 Eden as my SD sized doll goal. His unique expression drew me in and now I'm hunting for him. XD Is he a little seen almost extinct volks mold, which naturally makes me quite curious.

Watch me freak out with 2 6 page essay due tomorrow and an early final the next day. Go me.

This is Takumi doing slave labor modeling the latest finished piece. Same design as Sleepless Skies and the commission for tygati but this time in shades of purple! And yeah I changed the center piece finding design again >.>;;

So I was playing with my camera settings and with my cs2 so I give you Razi's new siggy





And a photo shoot of Razi and Taku. I figured that they haven't posed aka earned their keeps for a while XD so I dragged them off for pictures!!~ The flatter colors interested me although the pixel quality is the same.

Materials for my commissions came so I got off my lazy butt and started on them. I have to say though, I HATE wire wrapping pendants. ;___; it makes my fingers hurt .. Oh, I also HATE gold. It's too soft and brittle so wrapping with it pisses me off worse than silver. ..so charging extra in the future.... >.> *makes note to self* Or the commissioner would have to ask really really nicely....

In any case I'm done with it for this commission at least, thank gods the other one doesn't need it.




This is the belt/harem waist chain center piece for a commission exchange I have. It is a piece of grade A African Jade wrapped with gold wires. The commission is for a necklace + belt chain set in African Jade and gold.

What am I getting in return?

A modified japanese/chinese robe I designed with a flared bottom. The outer layer is to be black on black patterned cotton lined with black silk. Inner kimono made of unlined white silk and the ensemble is held together by a long obi of black silk. I purposely asked for everything to be simple and understated so any jewelry that I add on top will be highlighted.

This had to be custom made because I am picky about details as hell. One of the driving reasons that I took up making tiny detailed oriented jewelry in increments of millimeters. I'm such a detail freak sometimes that makes me horrible to accessory shop with.



The other commission I am working on is a slightly simpler version of Sleepless Skies in shades of purple. My first MSD commission YAY! The problem with that commission is that the company sent me the WRONG colored crystals in the RIGHT packaging -__- *headdesk*

I like life simpler, thanks.

More jewelry, this time for both humans and dolls. It's a bit big for Razi and looks out of proportions on him, but would probably look okay on an SD or larger (please don't kill me if I'm wrong since it's been half a year since I saw a SD in person. My general reaction was omfgbig ^^;;) But I made the clip for me mostly and I wear it out sometimes XD It was kind of fun answering questions like "Ohh where did you buy that? How much was it?" and saying "Ermm no idea? and I made it XD"

I bought the clip. the chains are silver plated per usually. The white bead is actually not a bead but a pearl, but my camera is still teh suxo0rz so it refused to pick up the pearl shine. The stones are alternate between black jasper and hematite chips.

In the 2nd picture the head is actually me XD and yes my hair is naturally that color, I don't swim and I never dyed my hair. Whoever said that Asians all had black hair lied.

It's closing in on 4 am but instead of sleeping, I'm having a style ADD. I have the sudden urge for Razi to wear pants and modern wear and all that punk. Weird, I know. So I have dug up the half finished half trench that I made for him to wear to yaoi-con last year. Yes, I have a sudden urge to SEW X___x. That will be finished soon.

I'm also currently butchering cloth that will eventually be a new pair of baggy pants. They just don't make baggy pants in BJD world so I'm making them myself. *cackles* I know how to sew decently well but I usually don't because sewing entire outfits by hand is a PAIN and takes FOREVER. This makes me glad Razi is an MSD ergo smaller and less painful. I think I would cry if I had to sew an entire SD outfit by hand, CRY. Big emo tears.

On the other hand I am crying inside because I decided that I liked the smirk on SD13 Tony's face but I will never be able to actually, you know, AFFORD him seeing that I'm a sad college student who's sick like 75% of the time so there goes my SD dreams D: *dramatic handkerchief waving*

On the up side, I'm sure all this sewing will eventually lead to more accessorizing and lead me back to my jewelry making. Which would be nice, you know, with 2 commissions that I haven't even touched yet. >.< FAIL!

In celebration, I give you all Blood Fairy! Crown and choker set that I've been sekritly working on very very very slowly. XD

Blood Fairy is made from the usual sterling silver wires, swarvoski crystal, silver plated chain, BUT with the special touch of silver plated butterflies and real natural colored garnets shaped into beads from India. ^___^

#1 I picked up my yukata from the dry cleaners today. I never knew dry cleaning was so expensive X__x

#2 I have an MSD but all the commissions I've done so far are for SD @____@ ...hmmm...

#3 I have 3 half done projects because:
a.I'm missing stuff to finish them
b.I'm still waiting for the 2nd half of the design of something to hit me over the head with a hammer

#4 I had really nice tea and crepe yesterday

First off, a big thank you for those who supported me through my bout, especially last week. I hurt a lot less this week and my eye is almost back to normal ^__^

There is still classes, but when I feel better it all seems less stressful somehow XD

I upped and ordered my first batch of new material in the last 1.5 months of nothing so I'm excited about that as well. There's enough silver, semi precious stones, and crystals in there for my next two big projects tentatively titled Blood Fairy and Ice Promise.

I mailed out all the commissions today, please tell me when you get them ^___^~

Can you call it a relapse if you never got 100% better in the first place?

But yeah, more hurt so I became a hermit again.

The Commissions are boxed for delivery, I had hoped to get them out this week, but nope. -_- New goal: Monday!




On another vein, I made Razi a hair clip. The bloody thing was an inch long and a cm wide and gave me more grief than something so small should.

I've been nigh on silent these days but I've still around, just lots of things going on these days. ^__^~

I finished tygati's headdress commission. I'm sorry for the delay, I had to order more chains because I underestimated the amount an SD crown needed. Last week I was MIA for spring break.





I also made a pair of dangle earrings for normal sized people.

Peach Garden

This bracelet is made with cherry quartz and glass beads strung with sterling silver wire and wrapped with permanently dyed silver copper wire. Clasp is silver plated. Cherry quartz is <3 but it also makes me want to eat it >.>
